Is there a possibility of having only Moderators post topics while restricting registered users from doing the same.

I am looking at a scenario whereby:

Moderators - Only Post new Topics
Registered Users - Only reply to topics but cannot post new Topics

sure u can set this privileged in the forum setting,but as far as i know moderator can post both new topic and reply to topic,but u can set up a the register user to only allowed to post reply but not crate new topic

On the Advanced forum setting, there are 4 choices:
View Access: Guest ... Super Admin
Post Access: Guest ... Super admin
Moderated: Yes/No
Review: Yes/No

I haven't come across a setting that BLOCKS a registered user from POSTING a topic while allowing him to REPLY to topics

oic,u want to block register user to create but allow them to reply,hrmm,then u should look into the code and change it a little,u wont find any setting in front end,let me look into this will and will post some help when i find it
