I noticed that ccBoard uses the default editor set in glocal configuration

Is there any way to change it so it uses a different editor than what is used in the backend?

      I think currently it is not possible and it seems working fine with almost all functionalities of MS Word and other word processing applications.  Otherwise you need to edit the code.

Hi,

ccBoard is using the joomla default editor, there are 2 options. Either change the default editor or change the following script.

<joomlaroot>/components/com_ccboard/views/post/view.html.php 

<joomlaroot>/components/com_ccboard/views/post/tmpl/default.php

But you have to be proficient enough to change the editor in this way.

Here is an option I am currently using.

Download JCE editor from Joomla.org then in Components>JCE Administration>Groups create a new editor and assign it to ccBoard then select -Registered in types, then select the buttons you want used in the Group Layout Editor.

I have selected a minimal set of buttons so guests can't mess up the site.
