How do you change the board colours to match that of you site colours (template). I have a brown site which I would like the board to be also. I've seen some answers out there on the net, but they don't seem to work unless I'm missing a step or something. Also, when I use the default templates that are provided, all of my text in the forums is *white* on a grey background which makes it impossible to see. ???? Thanks, TokenRing!! |

Hi, For this exact purpose we have CSS editor in the administration panel. Goto Administrator panel and click on [style sheet] icon. It will allow you edit the same file you have pointed out. This css file handles all the site display properties. You need to edit only this file for adjusting the site display. One more point i have to point out here, in the general configuration tab you can select the template color. Right now you can choose from blue, red, green, gray and mix. Mix means each time page loads, ccBoard shall randomly select one color from the list. Hope this helps. If you are happy with ccBoard please do a review/vote at extensions.joomla.org for ccBoard. Thanks Thomas |

Could you specify where in the file I would have to fill in the colour code? |

Hey Rob! Glad you are insterested in the solution too. I haven't edited the file based on the suggestions below, but you can search for color or bgcolor in the file. Each entry represents a different location of where the new colour would be applied. Does that help? When I am able to edit it tonight, I will let you know my findings... Aaron |

I myself have replaced every instance of#ffffff with # #331B00andwhite with brown but I am still seeing the text in the forums being white on top of a light grey which is still impossible to read. I've attached to screen shots of the forum on my site. One is a shot of the forum and one is a shot of the forum highlighted with the mouse. Aaron

Aaron okay... not sure what changed from last night to today, but now it is working. I logged yesterday's post after it still wasn't the way I wanted... now it looks great! It is a great forum which will get my vote! Thanks!! Aaron
