I use Mozilla Firefox 2. When I open the ccBoard in the browser, the module is not displayed properly.

But if I open the same page in Internet Explorer, it appears perfectly. Is this a bug?

I wish to attach the screenshot, but I guess this forum does not support that. Please advise.

Thanx

Have you considered upgrading to 3.0? I'm a firefox user myself (3.1 nightbuild) and it works fine here.

Hi Thomas,

I am sorry I don't have a website yet. But if you don't mind please drop an email to my personal addr: feridj [at] indo.net.id; then I will reply back with the screenshots.

Anyway, I have tried from the other computer with Firefox 3, and the forum component displayed correctly like Juiceh said.

ccBoard is very cool. It is simple and easy to use. This is the best among similar components I have reviewed.

Thank you.

Still... The compatibility among different browsers are weak. Currently it's only viewed correctly with Firefox, because it goes further than XHTML.
I think before the release of any 0.4 package, it should show correctly on other browsers such as Opera and Safari to gain an uprise in users.

Hi,

I think there is a serious misunderstanding with the browser support. ccBoard supports IE7-8, FF, Safari etc. And it has been tested on these browser as well. Layout problem can arise due to n number of issues . Neither it would be difficult to support all the templates in a stretch. It would become gradually mature on the course of time.

Note: It would be ideal to take serious approach while making statements.

Thanks

Thomas

Hi all,

I just realized that the Joomla template may affect the appearance of the ccBoard component. I change the template, and the component is showed correctly although I still use Mozilla Firefox 2.0 (last time I reported I got problem with this version). So, I guess the problem might be caused by the combination of browser version and the selected template as well. I am not certain about this, only from my experience. However I believe this is a very rare case. I am very sure ccBoard works fine in most browsers and templates.

After all, Thomas - you did a very great job and excellent supports. This finding will not affect me to use your component. Thanx.
