Hello people,

Ive installed ccboards with not much of a problem, not got around to adding content yet as im still in the process of creating my site ( Using joomla 1.5 )
Now the problem im having is with the styling of the forums.

Is there any way i get the forum to use the same style that is defined for my template in joomla ?
If not, is there a way I can just make the forum "transparent"
I know that sounds a little odd, but if i link you the site im currently working on, im pretty sure you`ll see what i mean.

As it stands, none of the pre set templates fit in with my site, just removing all the background stuff so Im using the black "glass" effect in my site itself would be sufficient.

Hope I made myself clear there.

Thanks in advance.
Kiskaa.

Ive not found a complete solution to this, but i did find out that you can use transparent colour values in CSS
Instead of a normal colour value, for example #FFFFFF you can insert a rgb value instead
#rgba(0,0,0,0)
The above is what you`d need to use for a transparent colour

Above link is the page I found explaining all this ( if far too much complicated detail.

Hope this helps someone else out.

p.s. I`d still like to know if you can get CCboards to use your joomla template styles tho if anyone knows if this is possible.

Use FTP and hook up to your site on server. If Joomla install is on root, go to public_html/ components/com_ccboard/assests. Here you will find all the images for the different default template styles for ccboard. Extract "assets" folder. Decide which color template you wish to use as your template to customize (Joomla Control Panel/Components/ccBoard/Global Configuration/Template "selection") and customize those images using images from your Joomla Template.

Thats what I ended up doing in the end ( still need to edit button images when i get the time ) and I also made the colour transparent to give it the appearance of using my joomla style sheet i edited.

Thanks for the response.
