Looks like Im' going to have to use Fireboard for the time being as ccBoard dispays corrupted images ( I have YooThemes templates, also as reported by others) also no JomSocial plugin exists as of yet (to show that user have made a post).

However, I still like the way that ccB is going and would love to return to it if the issue and plugin is developed.

So... a Fireboard to ccB migrator would be great :o)

Hi,

The image alignment problems are already fixed, please see the link below.

http://codeclassic.net/index.php?option=com_ccboard&view=postlist&forum=5&topic=178&post=0

And regarding the jomsocial plugin is already integrated to the ccBoard-0.2.2 release. Now you can get the avatars and other details from jomsocial. You have to select the profile as Jomsocial from General Tab in the ccBoard administration panel.

Then latest post modules and popular modules are relased also.  Finally you have to continue with Fireboard till the migration script is released.

Thank you for evaluating the ccBoard.

Thanks

Thomas

I am very interested in a migration tool from Fireboard.

We have over 2500 registered members with nearly 1700 postings in over 300 topics. With Fireboard showing no signs of life I'm looking to replace it. From what I read, this component could be the next "great Joomla forum".

I'll keep checking back!

Thanks

ccBoard looks like a very promising project and I think a migration script from Fireboard to ccBoard would be the best thing that could be done at this stage.

It would give a huge spike in the user base of ccBoard.

There would be a lot of people taking the watch and wait approach and have not bothered to post asking for a migration script.

I have re-developed the rest of my site over to 1.5.9 and It's now got to the stage were I need to move the forums over and would love to go from fireboard to ccBoard.

I have already made a backup migration to phpbb3 that could be put in place using jfusion but would much rather use a native Joomla based solution like ccBoard.

Is there any sort of time line for a migration script?

I would be happy to help in any way I can to make this happen. Smile

Hi Steve/Zrnchikw

Actuallty everything is depend upon the community requirements. If too many people wants to have a feature, then it shall automatically get prioritized. Acutally i dont know anything about fireboard other than it is a great forum and used by lot of people. If I would be writing a script, then for which version i should write, latest ?

Thanks

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

Yes, for the latest version would be nice. Because many of us are stucked in the FireBoards hell, because the development of FB is not sure....and manymany site using FB....and would change the ride to other more stable forum component.

Keyfeatures would be:

- CB integration

- CB plugin

- could change the direction of the list (ASC/DESC of time)

Cheerz,

B.
