After installing ccForum I added three categories. I worked with these categories for a while and after getting comfortable with how the system works, I attempted to add another category. Although it appears in the category section on my administrator screen list I cannot get the fourth category to appear on the forum front page. Ray Glessner |

unknown enviroment. Tell us some more about special plugins you're using. Working fine on my forum, make sure you place the forum in the right catagory. |

Hi, I think if you just add a category without any forums on it, it would not show up. Try adding atleast a Forum under it. Thanks Thomas |

I am using Joomla 1.5.3 on an Apache Server with PHP 5.2.8 and the only other Items I have installed is Joomla Comment and Google Calendar.-- The Forum I added does show in the Category Administration list and in the General tab it shows the correct number of forums (4) but the fourth forum does not display on the front page of the forum. I hope I did something stupid as this forum would work very well for my needs. Thanks Piedmontian |

I am incorrectly using the term Forum and I should be using the term Category. It is a new Category I have added that does not display. SORRY Piedmontian |

Ok, Do you have any forum under this new category ? If not then create one, then it would be displayed. Thanks Thomas |

Thanks! It worked like a charm, all Catagories are now displayed. I am charged with the task of bringing a Forum to a very large community of seniors. I will guess 95% of the community has never used Forum software. After looking at 4 other packages, I found yours. It is so clean and would be easy to teach I would love to use ccBoard. I do not know if a few hundred or a few thousand residents will use it. If I get slammed, am I safe using such a new package? Because so many members will be new to Forums, will I have tools to, for example, move Topics frome one Forum to another and move Forums from one Catagory to another if errors are made by the members?
