What was great about watching early TV was getting to enjoy all the older charachter actors, especially the men.
Now male roles, if not the men themselves, are seemingly being phased out. Tabloid persons, are a poor and unmasculine substitute. What is missing?

What do you like about guys?
I like/admire the quality of being intrepid.
-Being able to go to strange places, and learn new things under difficult circumstances.
-Being able to figure things out and get things done.
-Being able to build things, improve things, and be generally handy.
This extends to ideas. The taking on of ideas and wrestling with them, tugging at them~~~Guys go into the philosophy thing more...
I like the big picture golden rule, compassionate, 'Ya got to walk a mile in the other person's moccasins' attitude.
-looking out for the other guy.
I like the kind and the funny.
I like the sort of questing spirit thingy. [Can't put that one into words at all.]
I like when they smile after an accomplishment.- like having a beer after mowing the lawn.
